Online RSA training is NOT suitable for NSW or Tasmania and not for people in Victoria working; with packaged liquor in bottle shops & supermarkets, as the licensee, or in licensed venues open after 1am with amplified music. You can come and go as often as you please, however if you want to do it in one session most people take about 2-3 hours depending on your experience and internet speed.

If you have a current RSA certificate from another state you can do a bridging course between the two certificates - whilst this is an option we recommend re doing the full course for Queensland because you get a Queensland Certificate and an up to date a National certificate.

Legislation regarding responsible service of alcohol (RSA) validates that when people have been drinking they may no longer be able to make responsible decisions about their drinking. It means that the onus of responsibility around the drinking of alcohol is shared by the person serving the alcohol and the person drinking the alcohol. It is therefore a requirement and a risk mitigation strategy for employees, to get a responsible service of alcohol certificate and keep that certificate up to date. This helps you know what your responsibilities are and helps protect you in the cases involving alcohol related incidents.

All new staff employed after 1 January, 2009 are required to complete an OLGR approved RSA course within 30 days of commencing employment. Our QLD RSA online course and bridging course is suitable for new staff or RMLV staff training and is OLGR approved.

Nationally Accredited Responsible Service of Alcohol online Training is acceptable in South Australia.

You need to apply to the SA Liquor Licensing Commission to be a responsible person, part of this process will be to supply evidence of the national RSA certificate, which can be done online with us.

Once that approval goes through they are issued a “badge” by SA Liquor Licensing

The RSA certificate approved by the Director of Liquor Licensing is only available through in-class training.
